Multiple Locations

Often churches will have services in different locations, be-them on the same campus in different buildings, or in completely different parts of the city or state. To help distinguish services in different locations, WP provides a "Location" field as part of the Service details.

On the Home page of your account, you can specify to have WP only show you upcoming services of a specific location. Your computer will remember this setting every time you return to this page.  Similarly, a specific location can be specified on the People Scheduling page.

When creating a service, you may see previously used locations in the drop-down location field.  These values are populated based on what locations have been specified in past services.  Currently there is not "master list" of locations for your church that can be modified.

In this post your last paragraph mentions that the master list of locations can't be modified... is this something that can be added? As needs in our church have changed, so has our list of locations or at least the way we want to recognize them... We will soon be adding 2 more locations (actual multi-site separate locations, not just another room in a facility). We would love the ability to change the location list exactly like we change the "Worship Templates" list.  Thanks.

Hi Chad.  Great question.  A dedicated "Locations" list is something we are giving thought to.  Honestly, it really is just a matter of time before we have that.  I'll look into that being something that happens sooner rather than later.
