Android (and iOS) mobile devices can access mobile versions of WorshipPlanning.com without the need for installing an app.   You can read more about it here: http://support.worshipplanning.com/entries/20181228-worshipplanning-com-mobile-beta

To access the mobile site, point your mobile browser to: http://wplan.me or scan the QR Code with your mobile device.  NOTE: That address will take you to the regular site if you aren't on a mobile device.

Nothing too new to report.  We decide not to simply try and port the iPhone app in Android for a number of reasons.  And while this means a little more development time up front, it should result in easier and more frequent updates once we roll out the first version.

We should have the initial version ready before summer.

Awesome, if you need a beta tester let me know!  I'm running on a rooted HTC Thunderbolt.

Thanks Ben!  We will likely have a beta phase that will be open to people interested in helping out.  Nice phone, by the way!

Well consider me a bata tester then!

The HTC Thunderbolt is pretty nice.  The LTE network is lighting fast!  I just rooted it over the weekend and applied "The Perfect Storm v1.0" ROM to it last night which has increased the battery life and made it more responsive.

Well, I should have updated this thread earlier, but for some reason I updated a different support article and forgot to update this one.  There is a version of WorshipPlanning.com that runs on Android publicly available.  You can read more about it here: http://support.worshipplanning.com/entries/20181228-worshipplanning-com-mobile-beta. I will update this article.

We just implemented a much shorter website address to get to the mobile site.  I can't tell you how many times I've typed m.worshipplanning.com wrong!  The new address is:

http://wplan.me

Accessing this address from your regular computer will take you to the main WP site.  Enjoy!

Thanks for the mobile browser version. Looking forward to using it on my Droid until the app is ready.

Hi Randy.  I wanted apologize for some confusion that's the result of us failing to update this article.  Several months ago we decided that all mobile device access would be via the mobile browser version of the site, and not device-native apps.  There are several reasons, and I have actually outlined them on a blog post from October: http://goo.gl/76P5H. I will go ahead and update this article.

Again, sorry for the confusion. Hopefully you are finding the mobile web app to be just as good as a native app.  We certainly are able to develop high quality functionality a whole lot faster.
