File Upload/Download and SongSelect Import Issue - RESOLVED

WorshipPlanning.com is comfortable offering unlimited file uploads to ALL customers because Amazon's S3 service is both highly reliable AND cost effective.  If at any point we feel either of S3 is not generally reliable or cost effective, we will look for other solutions.

Our file hosting service provide, Amazon AWS, has been suffering an outage for a couple of hours, and it is preventing users in WorshipPlanning.com from being able to upload files.  This includes the upload that takes place when a user tries to import chord sheets from SongSelect.  The result is an error after 50-60 seconds of the systems trying to perform the upload.

Amazon AWS is a very popular file hosting and website hosting service used by small and large companies.  Their service has a very good track record of being robust and highly available, and offering the security features needed to keep files private.  However, the giant that is Amazon has its challenges, just like every company that deals with technology.  We will continue to monitor the situation, but there is not much that can be done by us at this point.
