Spotify and WorshipPlanning.com

Tom Metz -

SpotifyImagine being able to listen to almost any song, on demand, for free.  Now imagine having that same on-demain and free music from your WorshipPlanning.com account.  In a few days, you won't have to imagine.  Version 4.1.3 of WorshipPlanning.com (which is expected to roll out on June 18th) will include integration to a service called Spotify.

If you don't have a free Spotify account sign up here (https://www.spotify.com/us/signup/open/) so you are all ready when the feature becomes available.

I have had Spotify since it was still in "invitation only" mode, and absolutely love it! This will be great to have it linked to WorshipPlanning! For those who are skeptical, or don't yet have an account with Spotify, you won't want to miss this.

    Can't wait!

Thanks for the comment Josh!  Obviously I'm a huge fan as well.  The mobile app for the iPad is one of the best apps on my tablet.

Very cool. Thanks for integrating this feature. I love being able to put the Spotify URI in with the song. Would it be possible to integrate a link to an entire playlist connected with the worship flow? That would be another really practical feature.

It's official! Version 4.1.3 of WorshipPlanning.com has deployed, and integration with Spotify is now live!  You can read more about it on our blog if you like.

Alex, your idea for a Spotify play list that matches the worship flow is exactly where we'd like to go next with this.  We're still doing some research on if Spotify will allow it.  Thanks for your feedback and idea!

Awesome! If it was automatically assembled from the URIs connected with the songs that would be great, but of course I have no idea if that's even possible! lol

All my team's praise music is loaded in ITunes playlists on my computer, can I still import them to worship planning site? and How?

We have always used Spotify - love that feature! But the last couple months, it has not been working. it references problems with Spotify and maybe being over capacity. But it's every single new song I've added for the last couple months. Ideas?

Hi Annette.  I'm trying to re-create the issue.  Can you tell me a couple of songs in your library that cause this problem?

I recently added In the River and just today Praise Goes On. I got the error message on both of those. I could screenshot it and email it to you if that helps.

Hi Annette.  I'm going to escalate your issue to an official support ticket since I still have a few questions trying to reproduce the issue and a ticket is a better place to work through what might be going on.  Keep an eye out for the ticket email with further info.
