Advanced Message Board

The WP Advanced Message Board allows you to create multiple discussion "threads" for your team(s). Access to each thread can be configured to allow specific people to read, others to read and post, and others to not have access to it at all.



Before we developed the Advanced Message Board (over a year ago), WP had simply a single thread message board that all Planners (and only Planners) could read and post messages. Since this simpler message board is enough for some churches, we have given each church the option to use the simple version or the advanced version. By default, new WP accounts are configured to use the advanced version. To change between the simple and the advanced version, follow these steps:

1. Click on the Admin navigation link


2. Click the Church Info icon


3. Find the "Settings" tab and click it


4. Click the "Modify Settings" button


5. Enable or Disable the Advanced Message Board, as desired.


6. Click Save

Below the Enable/Disable option, there is a dropdown option allowing you to specify the minimum security level permitted to create new discussions. We recommend you start with a higher security level, then decrease it as needed or desired.
