What: Site outage for WorshipPlanning.com
When: Feb 2 (Friday), 11pm EST until Feb 3, 8am EST
Who: Affects all WorshipPlanning.com users (Planners and Helpers)
Why: Data center maintenance and migration
Rackspace is our host provider and manages all the servers, equipment, and Internet connections needed for WorshipPlanning.com to run. During this maintenance window, they will be performing various data center work that can only be accomplished while bringing parts of their network down.
During this time, all traffic to WorshipPlanning.com will be redirected to a "down for maintenance" page. Additionally, users will not be able to access the mobile web version of WP, MyWP, and data from WP via third-party services (like through Proclaim and OnSong). Our Support Center will remain active and online.
Rackspace continues to exceed our expectations with their managed hosted solutions, and we are very glad that these kinds of planned outages are only required once every few years. Plus, the whole reason this outage is even necessary is to help make RackSpace services even greater than they already are!

The maintenance and data center work was a success and actually completed about 3 hours ahead of schedule. We are sorry for any inconvenience this outage may have caused, but are thankful the great folks at RackSpace are efficient and rarely have outages (planned or otherwise).
